What does 'fully vitrified' mean?

Vitrification is a firing process that produces an extra hard, durable glaze. This makes vitrified crockery scratch resistant, super tough and impervious to fluids, reducing the likelihood of it picking up stains from rich sauces and dressings. So it's no wonder its so popular with commercial caterers.

How big are these plates?

Each plate is 230mm in diameter (the size from side to side), making them ideal for everything from desserts to smaller dishes. For heartier mains, try a larger size. Or for starters and bread, go a little smaller.

Are they dishwasher safe?
