Lifters

Lifters, commonly known as skimmers or spiders (due to the web-like look of the head) are an essential addition to any kitchen. Highly practical, lifters serve many uses, including retreiving hot fried foods, removing debris from cooking oil, skimming broths or simply blanching vegetables. These handy utensils are generally made from strong stainless steel and have long handles to ensure safe use. Basket skimmers and spoon sieves feature a finer mesh, ideally suited for removing very small pieces of food from oil, or removing foam from a miso soup.
